Counting down…

Today is Sammy’s last day of being 7! Our to-do list for the day includes:
- calling those who have not yet RSVP’ed (Alice said she’d do this, which I hope will mitigate some of the rudeness — I just need to know how many goodie bags to make!)
- final shopping for party food and contents for the aforementioned goodie bags
- the year’s first visit to the pool (this was delayed, with much lamenting, from yesterday; it absolutely must happen today or I may have a rebellion on my hands)
Tomorrow is Sammy’s Choice all day — she wants to do our usual epic Birthday brunch, followed by a few hours hanging out with the animals at our local “Zoo” (a really big, really cool pet store). After that, maybe the big mall…
And then Saturday is her party! Augh! The house is a mess! The hose nozzle is stuck on the hose, which means we can’t use the sprinkler, which I already said we’d be using at the party! I’m stressing!!!

Do you have one of those non-slip grip things — try that on the hose (and I’ll say a prayer
) — or spray the sh** out of it with pam, or some olive oil (not the good stuff.) * — Sammy is going to be 8!!! Mind boggling!

Yeah, the problem (as Anth is discovering right now as he tries to deal with it) is that the stuck part is right next to a part that turns, so it may be impossible to remove the stupid thing. I guess I can stop by Home Despot for a new hose tomorrow if necessary…
