Next to the classic Toll-House Cookie recipe, this is probably the cookie I make most often.
1 ¼ C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 C butter, softened
¾ C sugar
¾ C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 C oats
2 C chocolate chips
Combine flour and baking soda. Cream butter with sugars, add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and mix. Stir in oats, then chocolate chips. Pat into greased 15 X 10 pan. Bake at 375° for 18-20 minutes.
For Butterscotch Bars, add 1 tsp cinnamon to dry ingredients and substitute butterscotch chips for chocolate chips.
